The Confederate States Vexillological Association is devoted to the study of flags associated with the Confederate States of America during the period of their independence,
and of the use of those flags, and flags derived from them, in the States formerly members of the Confederate States of America, in the post-bellum period and the modern era,
as well as other flags, ensigns, colours, standards, guidons, and related insignia associated in the past or present with any State or Territory formerly composing a portion of the Confederate States of America.

INTRODUCING
Chumley the Vexi-Gorilla ™

© Michael Faul, 2000. All rights reserved.
Beginning with Spring 2001 issue Chumley the Vexi-Gorilla ™ joined us as a regular feature in Stars and Bars.
Chumley is the creation of Michael Faul, CSVA Council member, and editor of Flagmaster, the prestigious journal of The Flag Institute, in the United Kingdom of Great Britain.
Chumley is a flag fanatic with a different perspective. To quote from the January-March 2000 issue of NAVA News:
To a field not often blessed by humor's grace, Mr. Faul brings a delightfully light touch, deep vexillological roots, and sparkling whimsy.
